Transparent logo workflow

Remove the background from a logo

Try background removal on a flattened JPG, PNG, or WebP logo, then download a transparent PNG for your designs. Inspect small letters and narrow gaps carefully.

An original SVG or source design file usually gives cleaner, scalable edges. BG GHOST accepts raster images, not SVG files.

01

Transparency makes a logo reusable

A transparent logo can sit over different colors without a visible rectangular box. PNG preserves that transparency and handles sharp graphic edges better than a new JPEG.

02

Start with the largest clean source

Small screenshots magnify blur and compression artifacts. Use the highest-resolution PNG available, leave padding around the mark, and avoid sources already placed over textured backgrounds.

  • Prefer source artwork when available
  • Inspect counters and narrow gaps
  • Check the result on dark and light colors
03

Know the raster limitation

AI removal does not convert pixels into scalable vectors or recreate missing detail. If the logo needs to remain crisp at any size, ask the rights holder for SVG, EPS, or another vector master.

Common questions

Good to know

Does this convert my logo to SVG?

No. It accepts JPG, PNG, and WebP images and exports a transparent raster PNG at the original dimensions when processing succeeds. It does not accept or create SVG files.

Why are small letters rough?

Low-resolution and compressed edges contain too little detail. A larger original or vector source is the best fix.

Can I use any logo I find?

Only process and reuse artwork you own or have permission to use. Background removal does not change trademark or copyright rights.
